Tahiti Tourisme has reported a 25 percent increase in Papeete port calls this year, which is expected to increase a further 10 percent in 2027.

The growth in 2026 is said to be primarily driven by new entrants, while 2027 will see Tahiti’s existing homeport partners expanding their presence and adding additional ships.

Silversea is sailing its first-ever full summer season in Tahiti, with the Silver Whisper operating 17 voyages to the Society, Tuamotu and Marquesas Islands between April and September 2026.

The cruise line offers a seven-night itinerary that sails around the Society Islands, departing from Papeete, Tahiti, and journeying to Moorea, Raiatea, Huahine and Bora Bora.

There is also a 14-day voyage, which heads to Tuamotu and Marquesas Islands after leaving the Society Islands.

Next, the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection introducing an expanded portfolio of experiences across French Polynesia, Hawaii, and Asia-Pacific in its Winter 2026–27 itineraries.

The Evrima will make its debut in the South Pacific with a series of 13 immersive sailings, ranging from seven to 12 nights, visiting Bora Bora, Mo’orea and Huahine.

Furthermore, Ponant will extend its French Polynesian program in 2026 by positioning Le Jacques Cartier in the Polynesian and Pacific archipelagos from September 2026 through March 2027.

Looking ahead, Windstar Cruises will build on the addition of the Wind Star to its South Pacific program in 2027 by expanding the number of voyages across Tahiti, the Tuamotus, the Marquesas, Cook Islands and Fiji in 2028.

In 2028, two of the cruise line’s yachts will sail year-round in Tahiti: the Star Breeze and the Wind Star, which will sail the seven-day Dreams of Tahiti itinerary.

Finally, local operator Aranui is launching its second ship, the Aranoa, in 2027.

With a maiden voyage scheduled for March 2027, the luxury passenger-cargo ship will be completely dedicated to the Austral Islands.
