Windstar Cruises is opening bookings for its 2028 French Polynesia season with the choice of a sailing yacht or motor yacht experience.

Building on the addition of the Wind Star to the South Pacific program in 2027, the company will deliver an expansive slate of small-ship voyages across Tahiti, the Tuamotus, the Marquesas, the Cook Islands and Fiji in 2028.

Travelers who plan ahead can take advantage of Windstar’s Early Booking Offer, which rewards early reservations with the best fares and stateroom selection.

The company said in a press release that in 2028 it will operate two yachts year-round in French Polynesia: the Star Breeze, which often sails longer voyages, and the Wind Star, which will venture out on Windstar’s signature seven-day “Dreams of Tahiti” itinerary.

Across the two yachts, Windstar will offer 14 itineraries and 109 departures. Many of the voyages can also be combined.

Guests can also enhance their journey with Cruise + Air + Hotel packages from Los Angeles, as well as overwater bungalow stays in Moorea and Bora Bora.

The press release added that on select sailings, travelers may hear from Tihoti, a renowned tattoo master, historian and musician who shares the meaning behind Polynesian tattoo traditions.

Guests can also experience Windstar’s Destination Discovery Event, Fire & Story, in Bora Bora, an evening featuring traditional music, Polynesian cuisine and fire-dance performances.

Alongside Windstar’s Early Booking Offer, guests can save an additional five percent through the “Pay Now, Save More” promotion.

The early booking offer is available through May 31, 2026, with fares expected to increase as voyages begin to sell out.

Onboard highlights include destination-inspired cuisine and sustainable culinary practices, with James Beard chef-created dishes and menus inspired by the destinations the ships explore.

Each cruise includes all meals, non-alcoholic beverages, 24-hour room service, specialty coffees and a Champagne welcome.
