Tourism Fiji has announced that Fiji, with 333 islands across the South Pacific, expects a growing line-up of international cruise operators and small-ship expeditions in 2027.
As a result, the destination is becoming an increasingly compelling gateway to cruising the South Pacific, the company said in a statement.
According to the company, Fiji will feature in itineraries being offered by the following cruise companies next year:
- Norwegian Cruise Line
- Regent Seven Seas Cruises
- Silversea
- Crystal Cruises
- Windstar Cruises, and
- National Geographic Expeditions.
“Forget the traditional mega-ship experience. Travelers can weave through the Mamanucas and Yasawas, explore remote islands rarely visited by international travelers, or use Fiji as the starting point (or grand finale) of a wider South Pacific adventure,” the statement said.
According to Tourism Fiji, Heritage Expeditions launches an 11-day voyage in March 2027 aboard the Heritage Adventurer. Highlights include Savusavu, Fulaga and Taveuni and remote Pacific communities, reefs and rainforests.
Other operators connecting Fiji with destinations farther east include the following:
- Ponant/Paul Gauguin Cruises, Windstar Cruises and Silversea, which are offering itineraries linking Fiji with combinations of the wider South Pacific. Travelers can journey toward Aitutaki, Bora Bora, Moorea and Tahiti without navigating inter-island flights.
- National Geographic Expeditions is offering a 16-day South Pacific adventure in April and May 2027 that starts in Tahiti and ends in Fiji, and
- Norwegian Cruise Line is offering South Pacific Adventures that start from Suva or Lautoka in Fiji and end in either Australia or French Polynesia in May, October and December 2027.
Fiji’s Blue Lagoon Cruises has introduced the 45-meter Yasawa Princess II, carrying 44 guests across 22 cabins. Its shallow draft provides access to places larger ships can’t reach, including Blue Lagoon Cruises’ private beach.
Fiji is also welcoming record visitor numbers, with August 2026 marking its busiest-ever month for international arrivals.
Cruising offers another way to take travelers beyond the best-known tourism hubs and into islands and communities that remain off the traditional tourist trail, the company said.
Guests can explore Fiji’s islands, pair a sailing with a resort stay, or make Fiji the gateway to a wider South Pacific journey.
