Silversea has departed on its Grand South Pacific Expedition 2026, a 77-day voyage from Fremantle (Perth), Western Australia, to Valparaiso, Chile, aboard the Silver Cloud.
The voyage calls at 57 destinations in 11 countries. The departure also marks the conclusion of another season of Kimberley expeditions for Silversea.
“Our Grand Voyages are the fullest expression of what makes Silversea the leader in destination immersion, the rare luxury of time, paired with unmatched access to the most remote corners of the world,” said Bert Hernandez, president, Silversea.
“This expedition carries guests from the Kimberley coast to Pitcairn and Easter Island all in a single, continuous journey. As we close the season in the Kimberley, we’re carrying that same spirit of exploration into the South Pacific,” added Hernandez.
The company said in a press release that the passage through the South Pacific will include the following:
Fremantle (Perth) to Darwin
The voyage opens along Western Australia’s coast: Abrolhos Islands, Cape Peron (Shark Bay), North Muiron Island, the Montebello Islands and the Dampier Archipelago.
It will then enter the Kimberley for Adele Island, the Buccaneer Archipelago, the Hunter River region, Ashmore Reef, Swift Bay and King George River, and conclude in Darwin.
Darwin to Lautoka
The segment will feature 21 destinations across six countries, sailing from Indonesia’s Raja Ampat region and Cenderawasih Bay to Vanimo, Madang and Rabaul in Papua New Guinea, on to Santa Ana in the Solomon Islands and Ambrym Island in Vanuatu, before arriving in Lautoka, Fiji.
Lautoka to Papeete, Tahiti
From Lautoka, the ship sails through 14 destinations and four countries: Taveuni and the Ringgold Isles in Fiji, the Vava’u Group in Tonga, Rarotonga and Aitutaki in the Cook Islands, before reaching Bora Bora and Rangiroa in French Polynesia and concluding in Papeete.
Papeete to Valparaiso
The voyage’s final stretch spans 12 destinations across three countries, calling at the Marquesas Islands (Hiva Oa, Nuku Hiva, Fatu Hiva) and Mangareva in French Polynesia, Adamstown on Pitcairn Island, and Easter Island and Robinson Crusoe Island in Chile, before concluding in Valparaiso.
Silversea said its Grand Voyages will offer guests the chance to experience bespoke events, including Northern Territories Adventure on September 6 and Toki, A Hope for the Future on October 26.
Throughout the 77-day voyage, guests will be accompanied by Silversea’s Expedition Experts. Daily briefings and evening recaps will turn each leg of the journey into a learning experience.
The press release added that the Silver Cloud’s departure also marks the conclusion of Silversea’s 2026 Kimberley expedition season, which was comprised of 10 voyages between May 8 and September 6, calling at 25 destinations along Australia’s remote northwest coast.
