Carnival Fleet Locations: February Update

With 25 ships currently in service and two more joining the fleet this year, Carnival Cruise Line is back to action in North America and Australia.

Cruise Industry News tracked down the location and itinerary of every Carnival ship as of February 3, 2023:

Carnival Jubilee
Year Built: 2023
Capacity: 5,400 guests
Status: Under construction
Location: Papenburg, Germany

Set to debut later this year, the new Carnival Jubilee is in final stages of construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. A sister to the Mardi Gras and the Celebration, the LNG-powered ship will offer cruises departing from Galveston starting in December.

Carnival Celebration
Year Built: 2022
Capacity: 5,200 guests
Status: In service
Location: Eastern Caribbean

After debuting in late November, the Carnival Celebration continues to sail a year-round program of Caribbean cruises departing from PortMiami. This week, the 5,200-guest vessel is offering a seven-night itinerary to the Eastern Caribbean that visits Amber Cove, San Juan and St. Thomas.

Mardi Gras
Year Built: 2020
Capacity: 5,200 guests
Status: In service
Location: Eastern Caribbean

Departing from its Port Canaveral homeport every Saturday, the Mardi Gras offers year-round cruising in the Caribbean. With varied itineraries, the ship’s program features popular destinations in both Western and Eastern Caribbean.

Carnival Venezia
Year Built: 2019
Capacity: 4,232 guests
Status: On operational pause
Location: Cagliari, Italy

After completing its last cruise for Costa Cruises in December, the soon-to-be Carnival Venezia remains in Italy. Currently docked in Cagliari, the 2019-built ship is set to be transferred to Carnival Cruise Line ahead of debuting in the U.S. market in June.

Carnival Panorama
Year Built: 2019
Capacity: 4,000 guests
Status: In service
Location: West Coast

As the largest Carnival vessel based on the West Coast, the Panorama offers week-long cruises to the Mexican Riviera. Sailing from the Port of Long Beach, the vessel’s itineraries in the region includes stops at Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán and Cabo San Lucas.

Carnival Horizon
Year Built: 2018
Capacity: 4,000 guests
Status: In service
Location: Western Caribbean

The Carnival Horizon is currently wrapping up a six-night cruise to the Western Caribbean. After leaving from PortMiami on Jan. 29, the itinerary sailed to Jamaica, the Cayman Islands and Mexico.

Carnival Vista
Year Built: 2016
Capacity: 4,000 guests
Status: In service
Location: Western Caribbean

Sailing out of Texas, the Carnival Vista continues to offer a year-round schedule of Western Caribbean cruises. In February, the ship’s regular itinerary sails for seven nights and includes visits to Cozumel, Belize and Roatán.

Carnival Breeze

Location: Western Caribbean

Another Carnival ship sailing from Galveston on a year-round basis, the Breeze offers four- and five-night cruises to the Mexican ports of Cozumel, Costa Maya and Progreso.

Carnival Magic

Location: Southern Caribbean

The Carnival Magic is currently wrapping up an eight-night cruise to the Southern Caribbean that featured visits to Amber Cove, La Romana, Aruba and Bonaire. Sailing from Port Canaveral, the 2011-built vessel is offering a series of six- and eight-night cruises to different parts of the Caribbean during this winter.

Carnival Luminosa
Year Built: 2009
Capacity: 2,260 guests

Location: Australia

After entering service for Carnival Cruise Line in November, the Luminosa is sailing out of Brisbane as part of its winter program in Australia. Based in Brisbane, the vessel offers a series of three- to 11-night cruises to South Pacific in February.

Carnival Dream

Location: The Bahamas

The Carnival Dream continues to offer six- and eight-night cruises to either the Western Caribbean or the Bahamas. Sailing from Galveston, the itineraries include visits to Cozumel, Belize, Key West, Nassau, Half Moon Cay and other popular destinations.

Carnival Splendor

Location: Australia

Sailing in Australia on a year-round basis, the Carnival Splendor offers varied itineraries departing from Sydney. In February, the ship’s program includes three- to ten-night cruises to Queensland, New Zealand and the South Pacific.

Carnival Freedom

Location: The Bahamas

Based in Port Canaveral, the Carnival Freedom offers a year-round program of four- and five-night cruises to the Bahamas and the Eastern Caribbean. The vessel’s schedule for February features Grand Turk, Amber Cove, Princess Cays and Nassau as ports of call.

 Carnival Liberty

Location: Port Canaveral, Florida

The Carnival Liberty is in Port Canaveral today for another short cruise to the Bahamas. Based on the Space Coast homeport, the 2005-built vessel offers three- and four-night cruises to destinations that include Bimini, Nassau and Princess Cays.

Location: Western Caribbean

Sailing from the Port of New Orleans, the Carnival Valor continues to offer a year-round schedule of short cruises to Mexico. The four- and five-night itineraries include visits to Costa Maya, Puerto Progreso and Cozumel.

Carnival Miracle

Status: In service
Location: West Coast

One of Carnival’s ships sailing on the West Coast, the Carnival Miracle is currently offering a five-night cruise to Baja Mexico. Sailing from Long Beach, the vessel offers additional short sailings to Mexico through the end of the month, as well as a 14-night Hawaii itinerary.

 Carnival Glory

The Carnival Glory is currently wrapping up a seven-night cruise to the Western Caribbean. Departing from New Orleans every Sunday, the Conquest-Class ship offers week-long cruises to different destinations in the region.

Location: Miami, Florida

After undergoing a drydock, the Carnival Conquest resumed its regular schedule of short cruises to the Bahamas last October. Sailing from Miami on Fridays and Mondays, the 2002-built cruise ship offers three- and four-night itineraries to Nassau, Half Moon Cay and more.

 Carnival Legend

Location: U.S. East Coast

Based in Baltimore, the Carnival Legend is offering a series of seven-night cruises to the Bahamas. In addition to three full days at sea, the ship’s itineraries feature visits to Nassau and Freeport, as well as Half Moon Cay or Princess Cays.

The Carnival Pride is currently offering week-long cruises departing from Tampa. Visiting Central America and the Western Caribbean, the itineraries include popular destinations such as Cozumel, Mahogany Bay and Puerto Limón.

Spending the winter season in the Caribbean, the Carnival Spirit is offering six- and eight-night cruises departing from PortMiami. In February, the ship’s schedule includes visits to Aruba, Bonaire, Mahogany Bay, St. Kitts and much more.

Carnival Radiance

The Carnival Radiance returned to Long Beach today for yet another short cruise to Mexico. Sailing from the California homeport on a year-round basis, the 2000-built vessel offers three- and four-night itineraries to Catalina Island and Ensenada.

 Carnival Sunrise

Another Carnival ship based in Miami, the Carnival Sunrise offers four- and five-night cruises to Nassau, Half Moon Cay, Grand Cayman, Jamaica and more.

Carnival Elation

Status: On operational pause
Location: Grand Bahama Shipyard

The Carnival Elation is currently undergoing a drydock at the Grand Bahama Shipyard in Freeport, the Bahamas. Following the routine maintenance work, the 1998-built vessel is set to resume its year-round program of cruises departing from Jacksonville on Feb. 11.

 Carnival Paradise

Location: Western Caribbean

Based in Tampa, the Carnival Paradise is offering four- and five-night cruises to the Western Caribbean that features visits to Mexico, Honduras and Grand Cayman.

Carnival Sunshine

Location: Bahamas

The Carnival Sunshine offers cruises short cruises to the Bahamas. Departing from Charleston, the four- and five-night cruises include stops at Bimini, Nassau and Half Moon Cay.
