January Update: MSC Fleet Locations and Itineraries

MSC World Europa

With a total of 21 cruise ships currently in service, MSC Cruises has its ships deployed in the Caribbean, Europe, South America and South Africa.

Here are their locations and itineraries as of January 27, 2023:

MSC Seascape
Year Built: 2022
Capacity: 4,560 guests
Status: In service
Location: Eastern Caribbean

Latest addition of MSC Cruises fleet, the MSC Seascape is currently offering Caribbean cruises out of its Miami homeport. After entering service in late November, the Seaside-class vessel arrived in North America in December, kicking off its year-round operations in the region.

MSC World Europa
Year Built: 2022
Capacity: 5,400 guests

Location: Middle East

The MSC World Europa is spending its inaugural season in the Middle East. Delivered to MSC Cruises in October, the LNG-powered ship is sailing in the region for a series of seven-night cruises that visit United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

MSC Seashore

Year Built: 2021
Capacity: 4,560 guests
Status: In service
Location: Brazil

After becoming the largest cruise ship to ever sail in the country, the MSC Seashore continues to offer domestic itineraries in Brazil. Departing from Santos every Saturday, the ship is sailing a regular week-long itinerary that includes visits to Salvador, Maceió and Búzios.

MSC Virtuosa
Year Built: 2021
Capacity: 4,888 guests

Location: Atlantic Ocean

Continuing its year-round program in Europe, the MSC Virtuosa is currently offering a 21-night cruise to the Canary Islands. Sailing from different homeports in England, Belgium, France and more, the itinerary includes visits to 13 different ports in the region.

MSC Grandiosa
Year Built: 2019
Capacity: 4,888 guests

Location: Western Mediterranean

The MSC Gransiosa is spending the winter sailing in the Western Mediterranean. In January, the ship’s regular itinerary includes Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia, Palermo and Valletta as ports of call.

MSC Bellissima
Year Built: 2019
Capacity: 4,500 guests

Location: Western Mediterranean

Also spending the winter season in Europe, the MSC Bellissima is offering week-long cruises in the Western Mediterranean. Set to reposition to Asia for the summer, the Meraviglia-Class vessel continues to offer itineraries visiting Spain, France and Italy through late March.

MSC Seaview

Location: South America

The MSC Seaview is part of MSC Cruises’ six-ship lineup in South America. Sailing out of Rio de Janeiro, the 2018-built vessel offers three- to eight-night cruises to ports in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.

MSC Seaside
Year Built: 2017
Capacity: 4,140 guests

Location: Southern Caribbean

The MSC Seaside is spending the winter season in the Caribbean. Sailing out of Guadeloupe and St. Maarten, the 2017-built vessel offers week-long itineraries to popular destinations in Southern and Eastern Caribbean.

MSC Meraviglia

Location: Western Caribbean

The MSC Meraviglia is yet another MSC Cruises ship in the Caribbean for the winter. Based out of Port Canaveral, the vessel offers three- to seven-night itineraries to the Western Caribbean and the Bahamas.

MSC Preziosa

Location: South America

Serving the Brazilian market, the MSC Preziosa is currently offering three- to eight-night cruises in South America. Sailing from Santos, the 2013-built vessel visits popular destinations in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay, including Salvador, Buenos Aires and Punta del Este.

MSC Divina
Year Built: 2012
Capacity: 3,500 guests

Location: Miami, Florida

The MSC Divina is kicking off a ten-night cruise to the Southern Caribbean today. Sailing out of the ship’s homeport in Miami, the itinerary includes visits to Colombia, Panama and Costa Rica, in addition to Jamaica and the Bahamas.

MSC Magnifica
Year Built: 2010
Capacity: 2,550 guests
Status: In service
Location: Montevideo, Uruguay

The MSC Magnifica is docked in Uruguay’s capital city, Montevideo. The port of call is part of the ship’s 116-night world cruise, which departed from Italy on January 5.

MSC Splendida
Year Built: 2009
Capacity: 3,300 guests
Status: In service
Location: Red Sea

Spending the winter season in the Red Sea, the MSC Splendida continues to offer cruises to Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. Set to be repeated through March, the ship’s regular seven-night itinerary includes visits to Aqaba, Safaga, Jeddah and Port Sokhna.

MSC Fantasia
Year Built: 2008
Capacity: 3,300 guests

Location: South America

After opening the local season in November, the MSC Fantasia continues to sail in South America. In January, the 2008-built ship offers a week-long cruise that features Santos, Montevideo, Punta del Este and Buenos Aires.

MSC Poesia
Year Built: 2008
Capacity: 2,550 guests
Status: In service
Location: Corinto, Nicaragua

The MSC Poesia is visiting the Port of Corinto, in Nicaragua. Currently offering a 118-night world cruise, the vessel is poised to visit ports across Central America, Oceania, Asia and the Middle East before returning to Italy in May.

MSC Orchestra
Year Built: 2007
Capacity: 2,550 guests

Location: South Africa

Serving the country’s domestic market, the MSC Orchestra is presently cruising in South Africa. Through March, the ship’s program includes a series of short cruises to Mozambique sailing from Durban.

MSC Musica
Year Built: 2006
Capacity: 2,550 guests

Location: South America

Another MSC Cruises ship in South America, the MSC Musica is presently offering eight- to ten-night itineraries in the region. Based out of Argentina, the vessel offers cruises to popular destinations in Brazil and Uruguay.

MSC Opera

Location: Middle East

The MSC Opera is currently in service in the Middle East. Sailing from Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the 2004-built vessel visits ports in UAE and Oman during a series of seven-night itineraries in the region.

MSC Lirica

Location: Mediterranean

Spending the winter in Europe, the MSC Lirica is sailing longer cruises to the Western Mediterranean and the Atlantic. In January, the ship’s itineraries feature visits to Genoa, Marseille, Barcelona, Alicante, Málaga, Ceuta, Tangier and Casablanca.

MSC Sinfonia

Capacity: 1,900 guests

Location: South Africa

The MSC Sinfonia is serving the South African market along with the MSC Orchestra. Sailing from Cape Town, the Lirica-Class vessel offers short cruises to different ports in South Africa and Namibia.

MSC Armonia

Location: South America

The MSC Armonia is offering week-long cruises in South America. The ship’s program features itineraries that sail to Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.
