Tianjin International Cruise Homeport hosted three ships on October 1, China’s National Day: Adora Cruises’ Mediterranea, Tianjin Oriental Cruises’ Visio and Weidong Shipping’s Xinjinqiao V.
Authorities said about 10,500 passengers were processed during the day, being the highest single-day passenger total at the homeport in 2026 and more than double it had on the same day in 2025.
The National Day holiday window saw 19,500 international cruise passengers.
On October 1, the Visio arrived first in the early morning, followed by the Adora Mediterranea and Xinjinqiao V. The Adora Mediterranea began a seven-day roundtrip sailing calling in Yeosu, Busan and Jeju.
During the National Day vacation window, the Mediterranea is offering a Peking-opera cultural program and onboard workshops with China National Peking Opera Company.
The Visio operated a six-day roundtrip sailing, calling in Jeju and Incheon, which was described as a short-haul family product.
The Xinjinqiao V resumed the Tianjin–Incheon passenger-cargo route as part of its restart sailing.
Through September, Tianjin handled 70 cruise calls and more than 200,000 cruise passengers, according to Tianjin Port Group. Two additional cruise ships are scheduled to call at Tianjin in mid-October.
