Adora Cruises will host special themed sailings focusing on Peking/Beijing Opera during the Mid-Autumn Festival and China’s National Day aboard the Adora Mediterranea this year.
The “Beijing Opera Sets Sail” cruises will be offered on two six-day, five-night voyages departing Tianjin on September 25 and October 1, 2026, visiting South Korean destinations including Seoul (Incheon) and Jeju, as well as Yeosu and Busan.
The themed voyages will feature a series of immersive Beijing Opera performances and cultural experiences in collaboration with the National Beijing Opera Company, Adora said in a press release.
Guests will enjoy performances of classic shows, paired with lectures exploring the art and history of Beijing Opera, allowing them to gain deeper insights into this form of Chinese performing art.
The Adora Mediterranea will also offer interactive cultural activities, including Beijing Opera facial mask painting, traditional paper-cutting inspired by opera motifs, heritage craft workshops, trivia contests and themed games.
The cruise line underlined the incorporation of Chinese-style flash performances into the ship’s “Golden Nile” Ancient Egypt party as a highlight that is set to create an East-meets-West celebration that blends Chinese culture with Mediterranean-inspired entertainment.
The ship will also host Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day activities, including mooncake-making workshops, a Mid-Autumn garden fair, themed game shows, festive singing competitions, a National Day flag-raising ceremony and special holiday gala dinners.
