Tianjin Oriental’s Visio has completed two sailings from Qingdao International Cruise Homeport in July, extending the ship’s North China program, and marking Qingdao’s first large cruise homeport calls of the 2026 summer season.
The rotation is a strategic shift for the company, which previously based the Visio solely in Tianjin. Qingdao now joins Tianjin and Dalian as homeports for the ship.
Spreading the vessel across three northern homeports allows the company to tap into regional passenger bases such as Northeast China (Dalian), Shandong (Qingdao) and the Jing-Jin-Ji cluster (Tianjin).
Both sailings were five-day international itineraries and sailed July 1 and July 5. According to Tianjin Oriental Cruise, the departures sailed from Qingdao to Jeju and Incheon.
Qingdao’s only homeported sailing in the first half of 2026 was a themed “Sea Film Festival” voyage operated by Adora’s Mediterranea in May.
Both sailings of the Visio were exclusively chartered to Caissa Tourism.
Prior to the Qingdao deployment, the ship operated a short spring season from its primary homeport in Tianjin, where it will return in August to form a dual-ship deployment with Adora Cruises’ Adora Mediterranea for the peak summer and National Day window.
