In a first, the two ships Margaritaville at Sea ships recently visited Nassau at the same time.
According to an update shared by the company, the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise and the Margaritaville at Sea Islander docked at the destination in late April.
Calling it an unforgettable meetup, Margaritaville at Sea said that crew and guests from both ships celebrated the milestone side by side.
Sailing from its homeport in West Palm Beach, the Paradise was offering a four-night cruise to the Bahamas during the visit, which also featured a stop in Freeport.
Operating out of Tampa on a year-round basis, the Islander visited Nassau as part of a weeklong cruise to Key West and the Bahamas.
In addition to the city in South Florida, the six-night itinerary also featured a visit to Freeport, as well as two days at sea.
As the first ship to enter service for Margaritaville at Sea, the Paradise debuted in May 2022, kicking off a series of short cruises to the Bahamas.
Originally built for Costa Cruises, the 1991-built ship was previously in service for Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line as the Grand Classica.
The Islander followed suit two years later, expanding the brand’s reach to new destinations in the Caribbean.
After a major refurbishment, the 1999-built vessel made its debut for Margaritaville at Sea in mid-2024, marking the company’s debut in Tampa.
The Spirit-class ship was originally built for Costa Cruises and was in service for CSSC Carnival in China before being acquired by the company.
A third ship is scheduled to debut for Margaritaville at Sea in 2027, as the Beachcomber launches a series of cruises to the Caribbean and the Bahamas from PortMiami.
In related news, the Paradise recently made its inaugural call to the Port of Cozumel in Mexico. The ship visited the destination in early May as part of its first short cruise to the Western Caribbean.
