Disney Cruise Line took delivery of the new Disney Adventure from shipbuilder Meyer Werft today.

According to a social media update, the ship was officially welcomed into its fleet during a handover ceremony in Germany.

In addition to Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse, the delivery ceremony was attended by Meyer Werft’s CEO Bernd Eikens and the shipyard’s Captain Wolfgang.

Disney Cruise Line’s Portfolio Senior Executive, Project Management, Newbuild and Development, Walt Disney Imagineering Philip Gennotte, and Project Management Executive, Walt Disney Imagineering Mike Davie, also joined the ceremony, along with Disney Cruise Line’s Captain Fabian.

“The Disney Adventure is now one step closer to calling Singapore home,” the company stated, noting that the ship’s maiden cruise is scheduled for March 2026.

As the first Disney ship dedicated to Asia, the 208,000-ton vessel is set to offer short sailings out of the Marina Bay Cruise Centre in Singapore.

Departing from the port on a year-round basis, the Disney Adventure will offer a series of three- and four-night cruises.

With the 6,000-guest vessel and its attractions serving as the product’s main draw, the itineraries do not feature any ports of call.

Originally scheduled to enter service in December 2025, the Adventure’s debut was postponed due to construction delays.

Set to become the largest ship in Disney’s fleet, the vessel was acquired from Genting Hong Kong while still under construction at the MV Werften shipyard.

With the Asian operator ceasing operations, Disney bought the unfinished hull in late 2022 before redesigning it along with Meyer Werft.

With the delivery of the Adventure, Disney welcomed two ships to its fleet in 2025, including the Disney Destiny.

The Wish-class ship was handed over by the Meyer Werft shipyard in mid-October before embarking on its maiden season in Fort Lauderdale.
