The Discovery Princess recently resumed service after undergoing a scheduled drydock in Singapore.

The Princess Cruises ship arrived at the Seatrium Tuas Boulevard Yard in early November after repositioning from Alaska.

During its two-week shipyard stay, the 116,000-ton vessel underwent routine maintenance, in addition to class overhauls and technical work.

Public areas and staterooms were also renovated with new carpets, updated upholstery, new furniture and more.

Sailing in the region for the first time, the Discovery Princess arrived in Asia in late October as part of a 29-night repositioning cruise.

The month-long voyage sailed from North America and included visits to destinations in Alaska, Japan, Taiwan and Vietnam, as well as Hong Kong.

Upon arriving in Singapore, the 2022-built ship offered a short cruise to Southeast Asia before entering drydock in early November.

The five-night sailing featured visits to destinations in Malaysia, such as Port Klang, Langkawi and Penang.

The Discovery Princess then embarked on an 18-night repositioning cruise to Sydney ahead of its first season in Australia and New Zealand.

For its debut in the region, the Royal-class vessel is now offering a series of three- to 14-night itineraries to destinations in the region.

Highlighted ports of call include the Fjordland National Park in New Zealand, as well as Lautoka and Suva in Fiji.

The Discovery Princess is scheduled to return to North America for another summer season in Alaska in early May.

Before arriving in Vancouver, the vessel is also set to make visits to destinations in Hawaii, Tahiti and the South Pacific.

In addition to the Discovery, two additional Princess ships entered drydocks recently: the Sapphire Princess and the Crown Princess.

While the first underwent routine maintenance at a shipyard in North America in late September, the second is currently at the Seatrium Tuas Boulevard Yard in Singapore.
