The Norwegian Pearl is currently undergoing enhancements at a drydock at Chantiers Naval de Marseille in France.

As the second Jewel-class ship to get upgrades this fall, the 2006-built vessel arrived at the shipyard on November 4, 2025.

According to Norwegian Cruise Line, the Pearl will debut new features as part of the drydock, including the adults-only Vibe Beach Club outdoor lounge.

The venue will be located on the sundeck on Deck 14, in an area separate from the ship’s main pool area.

The new Vibe Beach Club will offer an additional hot tub, in addition to 54 premium lounge chairs and seven new private cabanas.

Norwegian said that the outdoor venue offers a quiet, serene atmosphere with ocean views and a full-service bar.

Guests can also expect chilled towels, fruit skewers and personalized service, the company continued in a press release issued earlier this year.

Similar work was carried out onboard the Norwegian Jewel, which spent nearly 20 days in drydock starting in late September.

According to Norwegian, the projects onboard the two Jewel-class ships are aimed at “delivering guests more to do and more to enjoy while offering the freedom and flexibility to design their very best vacation.”

Upon completing its enhancements, the Norwegian Pearl is scheduled to offer a trans-Atlantic cruise to Miami in late November.

The 2,400-guest ship then kicks off a series of cruises to the Bahamas, the Caribbean and Panama Canal.

According to Norwegian, the itineraries are highlighted by visits to Great Stirrup Cay, the company’s private island in the Bahamas, which is also set to debut updates later this year.

The Norwegian Pearl is then set to return to Europe for a summer deployment in the Mediterranean in 2026.

The deployment is highlighted by itineraries departing from ports in Greece, Spain and Italy, including Piraeus, Barcelona and Ravenna.
