Royal Caribbean International is set to take delivery of four newbuilds through 2028.

Here are the details of the company’s newbuild schedule, according to the latest Cruise Industry News Global Cruise Ship Index.

Star of the Seas

Following the Icon of the Seas, the Star of the Seas will become the second ship in Royal Caribbean’s Icon Class when it debuts in August 2025.

Set to offer cruises departing from Port Canaveral during its maiden season, the LNG-powered ship is currently under construction at the Meyer Turku Shipyard in Finland.

Debut Date: 2026

Status: Under construction

Construction is underway in Finland for a third ship in the Icon series. Set to enter service in 2026, the 250,800-ton vessel had its keel laid in October 2024.

Further details of the ship and plans for its maiden season have not yet been made public by Royal Caribbean International.

Status: Ordered

In August 2024, Royal Caribbean International announced a deal with the Meyer Turku shipyard for the construction of a fourth Icon Class ship.

The yet-to-be-named ship is scheduled to be delivered in 2027, as part of a contract that also includes options to build a fifth and sixth Icon Class ship.

Oasis VII
Debut Date: 2028
Capacity: 5,714 guests
Tonnage: 231,000
Shipyard: Chantiers de l’Atlantique (France)
Status: Ordered

In February 2024, Royal Caribbean also announced plans to build a 231,000-ton ship at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in France.

Following the Utopia of the Seas, the LNG-powered vessel is expected to enter service in 2028 as the seventh in the Oasis series.
