Summary: Norwegian Moves Ships Back to North America in 2025-26

Norwegian Cruise Line is moving its ships back to the Caribbean and North America as part of a redeployment plan that saw over 50 cruises for 2025-26 being cancelled.

Here’s all we know about the cancellations and the new itineraries, which will open for booking on Nov. 29, 2024.

Norwegian Star
Cancellation timeframe: Nov. 20, 2025, to April 14, 2026
Original deployment:
South America and Antarctica
New deployment: Bahamas and Southern Caribbean; homeport to be confirmed

Initially scheduled for a winter season in South America, the Norwegian Star is now set to offer cruises to the Bahamas and Southern Caribbean in 2025-26.

Norwegian Cruise Line did not reveal a homeport for the ship, which is also set to offer trans-Atlantic crossings to and from Europe.

Norwegian Dawn
Cancellation timeframe: Nov. 2, 2025, to April 12, 2026
Original deployment: Africa and the Indian Ocean
New deployment: Western Caribbean; homeport to be confirmed

The Norwegian Dawn saw its itineraries to exotic destinations in Africa and the Indian Ocean replaced with a winter season in the Western Caribbean.

Sailing from an unnamed homeport, the ship is also scheduled to offer trans-Atlantic crossings to and from Europe as well.

Norwegian Jewel
Cancellation timeframe: Nov. 23, 2025, to April 16, 2026
Original deployment:
Caribbean and Bahamas from Tampa
New deployment: Bahamas, Southern Caribbean and Panama Canal from Miami

The Norwegian Jewel will now offer cruises to the Bahamas, the Southern Caribbean and Panama Canal from PortMiami.

Before having its itineraries cancelled, the ship was scheduled to offer various itineraries departing from the Port of Tampa Bay.

Norwegian Jade
Cancellation timeframe: Oct. 18, 2025, to Feb. 16, 2026
Original deployment:
Panama Canal and the Caribbean from Miami and Panama City
New deployment: Mexican Riviera and West Coast from San Diego

The Norwegian Jade is moving to the West Coast for cruises to the Mexican Riviera departing from San Diego.

Sailing from Miami and Panama City, the ship was initially scheduled to offer itineraries to the Caribbean and the Panama Canal.
