The Norwegian Jewel is set to cruise from Miami after having its entire schedule for the 2025-26 cruise season cancelled,
As part of a fleet redeployment, the vessel will offer itineraries to the Bahamas, Southern Caribbean and the Panama Canal, Norwegian Cruise Line said in a statement sent to guests.
According to the company, the new cruises showcase “breathtaking engineering marvels, vibrant tropical destinations, and pristine beaches, which combine an unforgettable mix of adventure, culture and relaxation.”
The ship’s new itineraries will be offered between Nov. 23, 2025, and April 16, 2026, with bookings set to open on Nov. 29, 2024
Before having its schedule cancelled, the Norwegian Jewel was set to offer cruises departing from Tampa during the 2025-26 season.
The deployment included five- to 14-night cruises to distinct parts of the Caribbean, including the ABC Islands, Central America and the Bahamas.
Passengers affected by the cancellations are set to receive full refunds, in addition to a ten percent discount on a new booking in the form of a Future Cruise Credit (FCC).
The credit can be used toward any of Norwegian Cruise Line’s published sailings through December 31, 2026.
In addition to the Norwegian Jewel, three additional ships had most of their 2025-26 winter season cancelled for redeployment earlier this week.
Initially set to offer itineraries to Africa and the Indian Ocean, the Norwegian Dawn is now scheduled to cruise in the Western Caribbean.
The Norwegian Star saw its winter season in South America and Antarctica replaced with itineraries to the Bahamas and the Southern Caribbean.
Originally scheduled to offer Panama Canal cruises, the Norwegian Jade is now set to operate Mexican Riviera itineraries from San Diego.
The Norwegian Star and the Norwegian Dawn are also set to offer trans-Atlantic cruises between Europe and North America.
