President Cruises Gain Popularity Among Brands

Celebrity Apex

The Presidents’ cruises are becoming increasingly popular, with more cruise lines offering sailings that allow guests to interact with their decision-making executive staff.

Cruise Industry News looks into some of the key sailings announced for 2024 and beyond.

Variety Cruises

Variety Cruises is offering a cruise hosted by its CEO, Filippos Venetopoulos, in 2024. Set to depart on August 23, 2024, the special journey will commemorate the company’s 75th anniversary.

Named the “Uncharted Cruise,” the voyage sails from Athens and will see all proceeds benefiting Variety Cares, the company’s nonprofit foundation dedicated to advancing clean oceans, gender equality and education.

According to Variety, the eight-day cruise will feature visits to islands, interactive workshops, shore excursions and swimming stops, with each destination only being revealed to passengers 24 hours ahead of time.

Windstar Cruises

Offering a unique twist on the president’s cruise concept, Windstar Cruises is planning a “President’s Mystery Cruise” in 2025.

Set to depart on April 19, the eight-night voyage is aimed at the company’s Windstar Yacht Club members and will take place onboard the Star Breeze.

With President Christopher Prelog onboard, the cruise will sail from Athens. Ports of call, however, will remain a mystery to guests onboard the 312-guest vessel.

Celebrity Cruises

Celebrity Cruises’ upcoming President’s Cruise is set to take place onboard the Celebrity Apex on May 17, 2025.

According to the company, the cruise is a “unique opportunity for those in Celebrity’s popular loyalty status program to meet and party with the premium line’s leadership as well as be the first to hear about exciting upcoming news.”

With the company’s President Laura Hodges Bethge onboard, the eight-night cruise is set to visit the Norwegian Fjords after departing from Southampton, England.

Royal Caribbean International

Royal Caribbean International’s next President’s Cruise will be hosted onboard the new Utopia of the Seas on September 22, 2025.

After taking place in the Mediterranean this year, the next edition of the annual event will be held during a four-night itinerary to the Bahamas.

The company’s President and CEO Micheal Bayley will receive guests onboard the voyage, which sails from Port Canaveral to Perfect Day at CocoCay and Nassau.
