The Island Princess is getting ready to kick off a summer program in the Mediterranean. Completing Princess Cruises’ five-ship lineup in Europe, the vessel is scheduled to arrive in Barcelona on August 5, 2024.
The 2003-built ship will then start a series of ten-night cruises that sail to both the Eastern and Western Mediterranean.
Sailing to Civitavecchia, the first itinerary of the season features visits to destinations in Spain, Italy, France and the UK.
In addition to classic ports of call, including Marseille, Gibraltar, and Málaga, the itinerary also includes smaller and more unique ports of call, such as Ibiza, Portofino, and St. Tropez.
Extending through early December, the European program also includes an additional nine sailings in the region.
From mid-August, the 1,950-guest ship also offers itineraries to the Eastern Mediterranean and the Adriatic Sea.
Sailing from Civitavecchia, Trieste and Piraeus, the cruises feature various destinations in Greece, Croatia, and Montenegro, as well as Italy, Malta, Cyprus and Turkey.
The itineraries are highlighted by visits to Sicily, Corsica and the Greek Islands with calls in Palermo, Cagliari, Santorini and more.
Before repositioning to North America, the Island Princess also offers a ten-night cruise to the Mediterranean and the Adriatic that features a visit to Tunisia.
In addition to the off-the-beaten-path destination, the itinerary also includes visits to ports in Italy, Montenegro, Greece and Croatia.
After crossing the Atlantic in early December, the Island Princess is set to offer a 14-night cruise to the Caribbean before kicking off Princess’ 2025 World Cruise.
The 116-night itinerary sails from Fort Lauderdale in early January and features visits to 51 destinations in 26 countries across 6 continents.
Regions visited by the ship include the Caribbean, the Panama Canal, the West Coast, Hawaii, the South Pacific, Australia, the Indian Ocean, Africa and the Mediterranean.
