The Seven Seas Mariner recently celebrated its 25th anniversary of service for Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
The luxury ship was delivered by the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard on March 8, 2001.
At the time, the 720-passenger vessel was the world’s first all-balcony cruise ship, offering private verandas in all accommodations.
The Seven Seas Mariner was named in Los Angeles on May 21, 2001, as part of a ceremony hosted by Carlson Companies, which controlled Regent (then named Radisson) at the time.
The ship spent most of its maiden season in Alaska, sailing from Vancouver throughout the summer of 2001.
Later in the year, the Mariner offered a 26-night cruise to the South Pacific that sailed roundtrip from San Francisco, as well as a 54-night voyage around South America from Fort Lauderdale.
In 2026, the ship started the year offering a 154-night world cruise that sailed to 77 destinations around the globe.
Following a summer season sailing in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe, the vessel is scheduled to offer itineraries to the Caribbean and South America in 2026-27.
The Seven Seas Mariner recently introduced a series of new features as part of a refurbishment that took place in late 2025.
According to Regent, all the suites onboard the vessel were fully refreshed with the introduction of new furnishings, hardware and lighting. The Mariner’s largest suites also debuted fully redesigned marble bathrooms.
Other changes included a full renovation of the Pool Grill, which introduced a new wood-fired pizzeria concept.
Offering an al fresco experience, the new casual dining venue features a gourmet pizza menu.
Aiming to provide a consistent fleetwide feel after the introduction of its Explorer-class ships, the company also updated the look of public areas onboard the vessel.
