Margaritaville at Sea Cruise Line has announced that artist Zac Brown will serve as the Godfather of the Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber.
Brown will officially christen the Beachcomber in Miami on January 9, 2027, and mark the occasion with a performance for guests before the ship departs on its inaugural sailing.
“Brown has become an important part of the Margaritaville at Sea family, and naming him Godfather of Beachcomber is a natural next step in a partnership that continues to grow,” said Christopher Ivy, CEO of Margaritaville at Sea.
“It’s been so much fun working with the Margaritaville at Sea family to bring Same Boat on Beachcomber to life,” said Brown. “I’m really proud of what we’ve created together, and being named Godfather of Beachcomber is a true honor.”
Brown collaborated with Margaritaville at Sea to create the Beachcomber’s Same Boat live music venue.
At the same time, the company is the presenting sponsor of Zac Brown Band’s current Love & Fear U.S. Tour. Brown will also headline an exclusive concert in Nassau on January 28, 2027, when the Beachcomber, Islander and Paradise come together for the first gathering of the Margaritaville at Sea fleet.
Brown’s connection to the Beachcomber will come to life at Same Boat. The venue will feature a rotating roster of artists throughout the ship’s inaugural season.
On land, Margaritaville at Sea is serving as presenting sponsor of Zac Brown Band’s 27-show Love & Fear U.S. Tour. At a performance at Fenway Park, Brown provided a Margaritaville at Sea cruise vacation to every fan in attendance.
Launching from PortMiami in January 2027, the Beachcomber will introduce more than 15 venues alongside longtime Margaritaville at Sea favorites.
The ship will spend its inaugural season sailing four- to eight-night itineraries to the Eastern and Southern Caribbean before repositioning to Galveston in October 2027, where it will offer itineraries throughout Mexico and the Western Caribbean.
