Cordelia Cruises has revealed some of the itineraries and highlights guests can expect when the Cordelia Sky, the newest addition to its fleet, begins sailing from Mumbai this year.

The 1999-built Cordelia Sky is the former Norwegian Sky and will begin sailing on October 23, marking the start of its inaugural season in India.

The company said in a press release that itineraries range from quick weekend breaks and Lakshadweep sailings to longer journeys across India and Southeast Asia.

From Mumbai, guests will be able to choose from short breaks and longer sailings, including:

• Two-night weekend cruises from Mumbai
• Three-night Goa weekend cruises
• Four-night Lakshadweep cruises, and
• Five-night Goa and Lakshadweep cruises.

The ship will also sail seven-night Southeast Asia itineraries from Chennai, connecting India with destinations including Phuket, Langkawi, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, with a corresponding Singapore to Chennai itinerary.

Onboard Highlights

The company said the ship features 10 dining venues offering Indian regional flavors, sushi, a buffet, vegetarian, Jain, Italian favorites or a relaxed meal overlooking the sea.

Onboard is a 930-seat Marquee Theatre, which will host a flagship production show along with a lineup of additional large-scale productions and variety acts. The ship will also offer live music, activities, games and performances.

Outdoor activities include pickleball and cricket at sea, along with gaming areas.

The ship also features two pools, five hot tubs and more than 30,000 square feet of open deck space, along with 11 bars and lounges, a fitness center, a spa and dedicated spaces for children and teenagers.

Families can also enjoy supervised activities for younger guests.

Accommodation

The Cordelia Sky offers 1,002 staterooms, including 245 Mini Suites. Alongside 429 Interior and 313 Ocean View staterooms, it offers 11 Penthouse Suites and four Chairman’s Suites.

According to the press release, the Mini Suites add more space and private balconies, while the top-tier suites offer larger layouts and enhanced services.

The Chairman’s Suites feature separate living, dining and bedroom areas, private balconies with hot tubs and dedicated butler and concierge services.

Cruise Industry News previously reported that the Sky will be joined by the Norwegian Sun, to be renamed Cordelia Sun, which will be offering itineraries in India starting in late 2027.
