The Cordelia Sky is scheduled to operate Cordelia Cruises’ first series of regular sailings to Southeast Asia in mid-2027.

Currently sailing for Norwegian Cruise Line, the vessel is scheduled to be introduced by the India-based cruise line later this year.

After spending its inaugural season offering short cruises from Mumbai and Goa, the former Norwegian Sky is set to reposition to Chennai in late June 2027.

The 2001-built vessel will then kick off a series of seven-night cruises that sail between the Indian port and Singapore.

The open-jaw itineraries feature visits to three destinations, including Langkawi and Port Klang in Malaysia.

The cruise is also highlighted by overnight visits to Phuket in Thailand, as well as two days of cruising in the Indian Ocean and the Bay of Bengal.

According to Cordelia’s published deployment plans, eight departures are set to take place between late June and late August 2027.

After completing its season in Southeast Asia, the Cordelia Sky is scheduled to return to Mumbai for additional short cruises.

The ship’s two- to five-night itineraries in the region sail to destinations in West India and the Lakshadweep archipelago, such as Agatti Island and Mormugao.

Joining the former Empress of the Seas in Cordelia’s fleet, the Sky is also set to offer itineraries to Cochin, as well as cruises to nowhere.

Currently offering its farewell season for Norwegian Cruise Line in Europe, the 2,000-passenger ship will kick off its inaugural season for Cordelia in October 2026.

As part of a deal announced in early 2025, the cruise line is also scheduled to welcome the Norwegian Sun to its fleet.

Set to be renamed Cordelia Sun, the 2001-built ship will join its sister ship, offering itineraries in India starting in late 2027.
