Holland America Line is adding new bandstands to the Lido Pool on the Oosterdam and Zuiderdam as part of their Evolution upgrades.
This will create dedicated venues for live music and entertainment, with the programming set to include various musical acts, from solo performers to live bands, along with events connected to the cruise line’s signature Orange Party.
The first venue will debut on the Oosterdam following its Evolution transformation in fall 2027, according to a company statement.
“Evolution is about bringing the very best of Holland America Line to more of our fleet. Over the past several years, we’ve been on a journey to expand and elevate our entertainment offerings across the fleet, guided by what our guests tell us they love most,” said Beth Bodensteiner, president of Holland America Line.
“The new Lido Pool bandstands are another step in that effort, creating more opportunities to enjoy live music and memorable performances in one of the ship’s most popular gathering spaces.”
Since the Lido Pool features a retractable glass roof, guests will be able to enjoy the space regardless of the weather.
As part of the largest fleet update in the company’s 153-year history, Holland America Evolution is revitalizing six Vista and Signature class ships with Pinnacle class-inspired experiences and new offerings.
The Oosterdam and Zuiderdam are the first two ships in the program.
In addition to the new poolside bandstands, guests sailing aboard the two ships following their transformations will enjoy other enhancements, including the introduction of the Grand Dutch Café and new staterooms and suites.
