The Celebrity Infinity will continue to sail year-round in Europe through early 2029, according to deployment plans recently revealed by Celebrity Cruises.

In a press release, the company said that the Millennium-class vessel will offer itineraries in the Eastern Mediterranean as part of its 2028 summer season in the region.

The 2001-built ship will then reposition to the Canary Islands for the 2028-29 season, operating a series of cruises out of Barcelona.

According to Celebrity, the winter operation will allow guests to chase the sun as part of itineraries to destinations in Spain, Portugal and Morocco.

The deployment of the Infinity will also mark the company’s return to Egypt, with planned overnight visits to Alexandria.

The company said shoulder season sailings to Greece and Turkey will give guests a chance to beat the crowds at sites in Athens, Santorini, Kavala, Rhodes, Mykonos and Ephesus.

For the summer 2028 season, the Infinity will be joined in Europe by seven additional ships from Celebrity’s fleet, including the Celebrity Xcel and the Celebrity Ascent.

As part of the company’s largest deployment in the region, the vessels will offer itineraries to Northern Europe, Iceland, the Mediterranean and more.

The Celebrity Infinity kicked off its year-round operations in Europe in early 2023, after repositioning from a winter season in South America.

For the past three years, the vessel has offered a mix of Mediterranean and Canary Islands cruises, concentrating most of its operations in the Aegean and the Greek Islands.

In 2026, the ship’s deployment includes visits to destinations in Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Spain, Croatia, Montenegro, Italy, France, Portugal and Morocco.

Earlier this year, the Infinity was also hit by technical issues that led to the cancellation of an 11-night cruise in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The 91,000-ton vessel experienced similar problems in 2025, with a power failure forcing the ship to remain docked in Turkey for several days.
