The MSC Seaview will offer itineraries to the Eastern Mediterranean for the first time in 2028, making its debut in destinations in Greece, Turkey and Croatia.

According to deployment published by MSC Cruises, the vessel is scheduled to reposition to the region in March 2028, kicking off a series of nine-night cruises that sail between the Adriatic, Aegean and Marmara Seas.

Currently being offered by the MSC Fantasia, the itinerary includes visits to Bari, Corfu, Piraeus, Split and Kusadasi after departing from Trieste.

With passengers able to board the vessel in different ports, the cruise is also highlighted by a 13-hour call to Istanbul.

The itinerary will continue to be offered through October 2028, when the MSC Seaview is scheduled to reposition to the Western Mediterranean ahead of its winter season.

Before being taken over by the 154,000-ton ship, the nine-night itinerary will be offered by the MSC Splendida in 2027. After spending the upcoming winter in South America, the 3,300-passenger ship arrives in Trieste to kick off its season in the Eastern Mediterranean next April.

The MSC Splendida will then remain in the region through early November, when it is scheduled to embark on a trans-Atlantic crossing to Argentina.

With the debut of the MSC Seaview, MSC Cruises is significantly increasing its capacity in the Eastern Mediterranean in 2028.

Taking the title from the smaller Fantasia-class vessels, the 4,140-passenger ship will also become the largest to sail regularly in the region for the company.

Built at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, the Seaview is part of MSC’s Seaside class and entered service in June 2018.

Originally designed to operate in warmer weather, the ship spent most of its summers operating in the Western Mediterranean.

In related news, the vessel is also scheduled to operate its first winter season in the region in 2027-28, operating year-round in Europe for the first time.
