Princess Cruises will not operate summer cruises in the Caribbean in 2027, according to deployment published on the company’s website.
The cruise line will move all of its ships out of the region between April and October.
Two Princess ships are currently operating year-round in the Caribbean: the Regal Princess and the Caribbean Princess.
With itineraries from Port Canaveral and Fort Lauderdale, the vessels are offering the company’s largest ever summer season in the region this year.
For 2027, both ships are scheduled to reposition to Europe for early summer cruises sailing from Denmark and the United Kingdom.
The Regal Princess is scheduled to pause its operations in the Caribbean in April, with a trans-Atlantic crossing to Southampton.
Sailing from the British port, the Royal-class ship offers itineraries to Scandinavia, the Mediterranean, the Canary Islands, the Baltic and more.
In late August, the vessel returns to North America for late summer and fall cruises in Canada and New England ahead of a winter season sailing from Miami.
The Caribbean Princess will bid farewell to its year-round operations out of Port Canaveral in late April, kicking off a repositioning cruise to Copenhagen, Denmark.
The 3,100-passenger ship will then operate a series of regular 12-night cruises to the Baltic, visiting destinations in Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Denmark and Norway.
Set to offer late summer and fall foliage itineraries in Canada and New England, the vessel is scheduled to embark on a repositioning voyage to Boston in late August.
The Caribbean Princess will then return to Fort Lauderdale for a series of nine- to 12-night cruises to the Caribbean in November.
In addition to the Regal and the Caribbean, Princess’ deployment plans for 2027 include four other ships sailing in Europe during the summer.
The company will also deploy eight vessels to Alaska during the season, in addition to two ships in Japan and one in Australia.
