Noordam Makes Inaugural Call at Port of Kobe

Noordam in Kobe

The Port of Kobe celebrated the inaugural call of Holland America Line’s Noordam on Friday, March 14, 2025.

The port said in a statement that citizens of Kobe welcomed the ship with a water spray display by the city’s fire boats.

According to the Port of Kobe, the ship was again in port on Thursday, March 27, and will make another call on Tuesday, April 15.

The ship is set to sail a series of nine 14-day itineraries exploring Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam during Holland America Line’s 2024-25 Asia season.

The Noordam, which entered service in 2006 as the fourth ship in the Vista Class series, made its maiden call in Tokyo in October 2024.

Takashi Sezawa, Port of Kobe’s cruise director, commented  about the ship’s call and said: “We sincerely appreciate Holland America Line has been calling our port since 1958, when the fourth-generation Statendam called at Kobe.”
