Regent Seven Seas Cruises announced that the Seven Seas Navigator will be leaving its fleet in late 2026.

According to a statement sent to guests, the company said that the 1999-built ship will be handed over to Crescent Seas, which is described as a new brand offering luxury residences at sea.

A report in Bloomberg noted the ship transaction was part of a $230 million deal between Crescent Seas and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.

“For over a quarter of a century, the Seven Seas Navigator has provided a home away from home to hundreds of thousands of Regent guests, visiting every corner of the world, creating unforgettable memories,” Regent said in the statement attributed to Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings’ Chief Luxury Officer Jason Montague.

“While I know that the Seven Seas Navigator is a favorite to many of you, and we are truly grateful for her years of service, it feels that it is the right time to bid adieu to this wonderful ship,” the company added.

Regent mentioned its two new Prestige-class newbuilds which are scheduled to join the fleet in 2026 and 2030.

“We have never been more excited about the future of the Regent Seven Seas Cruises brand,” the statement continued, noting that the new vessels bring “even more opportunities to see the world.”

The Seven Seas Navigator will offer a farewell cruise on Oct. 2, 2026, sailing from Istanbul, Turkey, to Alexandria, Egypt.

According to the statement, Regent will be celebrating the vessel’s legacy with a range of events and onboard programs prior to the final sailing.

“Join us over the next 18 months to say goodbye to the Seven Seas Navigator in your own special way and celebrate the ending of an incredible chapter of the Regent Seven Seas Cruises story,” the company added.

The Seven Seas Navigator was built at the T. Mariotti shipyard, using the hull that was originally designed for a Russian research vessel.

The 490-guest luxury vessel set sail on its maiden cruise for Regent Seven Seas Cruises on September 7, 1999.
