Royal Caribbean’s Mariner to Sail from New Orleans in 2026-27

Mariner of the Seas

The Mariner of the Seas will offer cruises departing from New Orleans during the 2026-27 winter season.

Repositioning from Galveston, the Voyager-class ship from Royal Caribbean International is scheduled to arrive in Louisiana in early November for itineraries to the Western Caribbean.

The deployment includes a series of seven-night cruises to destinations in Mexico, Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, including Cozumel, George Town and Falmouth.

Sailing from New Orleans every Saturday, the itinerary also includes three days of cruising in the Western Caribbean.

The Mariner of the Seas is scheduled to visit Costa Maya in Mexico and Belize City in Belize as well, during a special six-night cruise in November.

With departures scheduled through April, the deployment will mark Royal Caribbean’s return to New Orleans after a year-long gap.

Currently offering cruises from the port onboard the Brilliance of the Seas, the company won’t sail from the port during the 2025-26 winter.

Royal Caribbean’s recently announced plans for 2026-27 include a focus on short cruises, with 11 ships offering two- to five-night sailings.

The lineup features four Oasis-class vessels, including the Utopia of the Seas sailing from Port Canaveral and the Wonder of the Seas sailing from Miami.

Other highlights of the season include the new Legend of the Seas, which will debut in Europe in mid-2026.

As the third ship in the company’s Icon class, the 250,000-ton vessel is scheduled to sail from Fort Lauderdale during the 2026-27 winter.

Departing from Port Everglades, the Legend offers six- to eight-night cruises to the Eastern and Southern Caribbean.

The season is highlighted by two new Royal Beach Clubs, which are being built by Royal Caribbean in the Bahamas and Mexico.

Located in Nassau, the new Royal Beach Club Paradise Island is set to open in December 2025, while the Royal Beach Club Cozumel welcomes its first guests in late 2026.
