Carnival Cruise Line to Sail from Melbourne in 2027

Pacific Adventure

Carnival Cruise Line will offer a short cruise season out of Melbourne in early 2027, the company revealed in a social media update.

After joining the company’s fleet this March, the Carnival Adventure will reposition to the homeport in late March for a series of two- to six-night cruises.

For its first cruise from Melbourne, the 2,600-guest ship is set to offer a six-night itinerary starting on Mar. 24, 2027.

Sailing to South Australia, the cruise includes visits to Port Lincoln, Kangaroo Island and Adelaide, as well as two days at sea.

The Carnival Adventure then offers two four-night cruises to Kangaroo Island, with departures scheduled for Mar. 30 and Apr. 3, 2027.

Upon completing the last short cruise from Melbourne, the ship embarks on a two-night repositioning cruise to Sydney.

Starting on Apr. 9, 2027, the vessel resumes its regular schedule of two- to 12-night cruises departing from Sydney.

Before arriving in Melbourne, the Carnival Adventure is also scheduled to offer Carnival’s first-ever roundtrip cruise out of Singapore.

Sailing to Southeast Asia, the nine-night sailing will visit a series of destinations in Thailand, Bangkok and Vietnam in late February 2027.

The sailing will be followed by a 17-day repositioning cruise to Melbourne that sails from Singapore on Mar. 8, 2027.

In addition to Fremantle and Albany in Australia, the one-way cruise is also scheduled to sail to Port Klang and Langkawi in Malaysia, as well as Benoa in Indonesia.

According to Carnival, bookings for the sailings onboard the Adventure are available on P&O Cruises Australia’s website up until Mar. 10, 2025.

After that date, all reservations will be processed and managed through Carnival Cruise Line’s Australia website.

Originally built for Princess Cruises in 2001, the Carnival Adventure is currently sailing as the Pacific Adventure.

The 110,000-ton ship is set to be transferred to Carnival Cruise Line’s fleet in March 2025, along with its sister ship Pacific Encounter.
