The Crystal Serenity recently departed from Fort Lauderdale’s Port Everglades to kick off Crystal’s 2025 World Cruise.
Sailing to South America, the Caribbean, the Atlantic and Europe, the 123-night cruise is scheduled to visit 75 destinations in 25 countries.
According to Crystal, the itinerary is highlighted by a transit of the Panama Canal, as well as a call at Guayaquil, a port town that serves as a gateway to the Galapagos, Lima and Pisco.
Set to end in Barcelona, the cruise includes three overnight stays in Rio de Janeiro during which guests will be able to take part in the town’s Carnival celebrations.
In addition is scenic cruising in the Chilean Fjords before arriving in Ushuaia, the world’s southernmost city.
In Europe, the itinerary focuses on islands in the Mediterranean, including Malta, Mykonos, Santorini and Sicily.
Other ports of call set to be visited in the region include Portimão in Portugal, Cartagena in Spain and Volos in Greece.
The Crystal Serenity is also slated to sail around the Adriatic, visiting ports in Croatia, Italy and Greece, such as Dubrovnik, Trieste and Corfu.
In addition to a series of optional overland excursions, Crystal’s 2025 World Cruise includes land events and experiences.
As part of the schedule, guests are set to enjoy a dinner in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, and a party on Mount Olympus during the ship’s visit to Piraeus, Greece.
In Rio de Janeiro, Crystal is taking guests to the Sambodrome for the town’s traditional parade of samba schools.
After sailing from Fort Lauderdale on Jan. 7, Crystal’s world cruise is set to end in Barcelona on May 10, 2025.
The Crystal Serenity is then set to offer itineraries in the Mediterranean before repositioning to Northern Europe in mid-June.
Starting in September, the ship also offers a fall season in Canada and New England, which will be followed by cruises in the Caribbean.
