Adora Ships to Sail from Qingdao in 2025

Adora ship in Qingdao

Adora Cruises has revealed its deployment plans for Qingdao in 2025, the company announced in a press release.

Both of Adora’s ships are scheduled to sail from the Chinese port, with a couple of cruises on the Adora Magic City onboard the 2023-built ship being followed by a homeporting season onboard the Adora Mediterranea.

The company also announced a strategic partnership with Caesar Tourism to deepen its presence in the Shandong and Qingdao markets.

Currently sailing from Shanghai, the Adora Magic City is scheduled to arrive at the Qingdao International Cruise Homeport on April 6, 2025.

The 5,246-guest ship will offer two four-night international cruises from the port in Northern China, visiting Fukuoka, Japan, and Jeju, South Korea.

According to Adora, the schedule will mark the first time the Adora Magic City visits a Chinese port city other than Shanghai.

Guests from Qingdao and surrounding areas will have the opportunity to experience the vessel, which was built to “blend the essence of Eastern and Western cultures,” the company said.

The Adora Magic City is also expected to visit more homeports in China, Adora added, further promoting maritime and cruise culture across the country.

As the first large cruise ship built in China, the Adora Magic City was delivered by the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Yard in late 2023.

In May, the Adora Mediterranea takes over the homeporting season in Qingdao, offering a series of four-night cruises to Japan and South Korea.

According to the company, the itineraries will take passengers to destinations in the region, such as Fukuoka in Japan and Jeju in South Korea.

Originally built for Costa Cruises, the 2,100-guest ship entered service in 2003 before embarking on its first sailing for Adora in late 2023.
