Port Canaveral recently welcomed the Voyager of the Seas as the fourth Royal Caribbean International ship sailing from its cruise terminals.

After arriving in Central Florida in late November, the vessel kicked off a series of short cruises to the Caribbean and the Bahamas.

To mark the start of the new operation, Port Canaveral held a plaque exchange ceremony onboard the Voyager earlier this week.

Canaveral Port Authority Commission Vice Chairman Wayne Justice and Voyager of the Seas Captain Josep M. Ruyra participated in the celebration, which took place at the ship’s bridge.

As part of its new seasonal deployment in Port Canaveral, the Voyager of the Seas is now offering four- and five-night cruises to tropical destinations.

Ports of call include Cozumel and Costa Maya in Mexico, as well as Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic and Bimini in the Bahamas.

Most of the itineraries also feature visits to Royal Caribbean’s private destinations in the region, Perfect Day at CocoCay and Labadee.

After completing its schedule in Port Canaveral in early May, the Voyager of the Seas is set to offer a summer cruise program in the Mediterranean.

In late 2025, the ship repositions to the South Pacific for a winter season sailing around Australia and New Zealand.

In Port Canaveral, Royal Caribbean’s lineup for the 2024-25 winter season also includes the Utopia of the Seas, the Wonder of the Seas and the Adventure of the Seas.

While Utopia offers short cruises to the Bahamas, the Wonder of the Seas operates a series of seven-night cruises to destinations in the Western and Eastern Caribbean.

The Adventure of the Seas complements the company’s offerings with six- to 10-night cruises to additional destinations in the Western, Eastern and Southern Caribbean.

In mid-2025, Port Canaveral is also receiving Royal Caribbean’s newest and largest ship, the Star of the Seas.
