After completing a series of summer cruises in Northern Europe, the Carnival Legend is starting a repositioning cruise to the Eastern Mediterranean today.
Sailing from Dover, the nine-night itinerary features visits to destinations in England, Portugal, Spain and Italy, such as La Coruña, Lisbon, Cartagena and Málaga.
The cruise then ends in Civitavecchia, which will serve as the ship’s homeport in the Mediterranean.
For the next two months, the Carnival Legend is set to offer a series of ten-night cruises to the Greek Islands, Italy and Turkey.
Sailing roundtrip from Civitavecchia, the ship’s regular itinerary in the region features visits to Messina, Naples, Mykonos, Santorini, Katakolon and Kusadasi.
All the cruises also feature a visit to Piraeus, from which passengers can visit Athens and surrounding areas.
Upon completing its Mediterranean schedule in late October, the Carnival Legend embarks on a trans-Atlantic cruise to Tampa.
The 15-night repositioning voyage sails from Civitavecchia and features stops in destinations in Spain, Portugal and the Bahamas.
During the 2024-25 winter season, the ship is set to offer six- to eight-night cruises to the Caribbean departing from Tampa.
Before repositioning to the Eastern Mediterranean, the Carnival Legend arrived in Europe in early May for nine- to 12-night itineraries to the British Isles, Iceland, Scandinavia, the North Sea and more.
The ship also sailed an eight-night cruise to the Western Mediterranean before undergoing a scheduled drydock at the Chantier Naval de Marseille in France.
In addition to technical maintenance and class work, the Legend received updates to its public areas and staterooms, including the debut of a new Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge and a rebranded spa.
Also new onboard the Carnival Legend are Chef’s Table, Dreams Studio and a dedicated space for Carnival Adventures.
