Serenade Kicks Off Last Segment of Royal Caribbean’s 274-Night World Cruise

Serenade of the Seas

Royal Caribbean International’s Ultimate World Cruise entered its last segment earlier this month.

After kicking off the 274-night global journey in Miami in December 2023, the Serenade of the Seas embarked on the fourth and final leg of the sailing on July 10, 2024.

Sailing from Barcelona, the 63-night segment focuses on the European coast before crossing the Atlantic and sailing to North America, the Bahamas and Bermuda.

Forty destinations will be visited during the segment, with overnight stays in Le Havre, for tours to Paris; in Reykjavik; and in New York City.

Highlights of the itinerary include ports of call in Morocco and Western Europe, as well as visits to various Norwegian Fjords, the Baltic Sea and Greenland.

The cruise is also scheduled to stop in Canada, Bermuda before sailing to the Bahamas, where it’s set to visit Royal Caribbean International’s private island destination, Perfect Day at CocoCay.

The Serenade of the Seas then proceeds to Miami to conclude the nine-month world journey on Sep. 10, 2024.

The Ultimate World Cruise started in the Port of Miami in December 2023.

As the longest cruise ever offered by Royal Caribbean International, the complete itinerary features visits to over 150 ports in approximately 60 countries across seven continents.

After sailing from Florida, the voyage started with visits to the Caribbean and South America, followed by scenic cruising near the Antarctic Peninsula.

The 274-night cruise continued with destinations in Central America, the Mexican Riviera and the Pacific Ocean.

Before arriving in Europe, the 2,146-guest ship also sailed to the Far East, the South Pacific Isles, Southeast Asia, the Indian Ocean and Africa.

The Serenade of the Seas is part of Royal Caribbean’s Radiance-class. Built by the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany, the 90,000-ton vessel originally entered service in 2003.
