Silversea has concluded its Grand South Pacific Expedition 2026, which called at 57 destinations in 11 countries.
The 77-day voyage sailed from Fremantle (Perth), Western Australia in late August, tracing Australia’s Kimberley coast through the South Pacific and Easter Island to Valparaiso, Chile, aboard the Silver Cloud.
The journey combined exploration of landscapes and coastlines, including zodiac landings, cultural encounters with local communities and exclusive events.
“As the leader in destination immersion, Silversea designs Grand Voyages that give our guests unmatched access to the most remote corners of the world, along with the time to experience them,” said Bert Hernandez, president, Silversea.
“On this expedition, guests experienced the spirit of exploration throughout the South Pacific – from its natural beauty to its diverse culture and warmth of its people.”
Guests visited local schools, villages and island communities, including Pulau Kokas, Child Aid Papua in Raja Ampat, Pulau Num and Cenderawasih Bay in Indonesia; Papua New Guinea; Solomon Islands and Vanuatu; and The Marquesas.
They also enjoyed several exclusive events:
Northern Territory Adventure (Finniss River Lodge, Darwin, Australia): A day spent at Finniss River Lodge, a 50,000-acre working cattle station in Australia’s Northern Territory. The program included an all-wheel-drive exploration of the property’s paperbark groves and a helicopter flight over the surrounding wetlands, escarpments and the Finniss River, concluding with a luncheon.
Toki, Rapa Nui (Easter Island, Chile): An enhanced tour that combined the island’s sites with a visit to the Toki School of Music and Art, founded to preserve Rapa Nui heritage, where guests enjoyed a concert featuring classical pianist Mahani Teave, alongside performances by the children. This was followed by a visit to the moai at Tahai and a private cocktail reception and a performance featuring a traditional hoko warrior dance.
Silversea’s upcoming Grand Voyages include:
- the Grand Mediterranean 2027 aboard the Silver Dawn,
- the Grand Voyage South America 2028 aboard the Silver Ray,
- the Grand Voyage Asia 2028 aboard the Silver Muse.
