TUI has announced that Mein Schiff 3 will not sail on its November 14-28 cruise as repairs to the damaged ship would take longer than planned.
Following its October 25 collision in Bremerhaven, the ship arrived at Lloyd Werft’s Bremerhaven pier on November 1, 2026, for inspection and necessary repairs.
The company shared in an update on November 5 that the work would take longer than expected, resulting in the cancellation of its upcoming voyage.
“We know how much our guests were looking forward to this trip, and we deeply regret having to share this news with you. At the same time, the safety of our guests and our crew is always our highest priority. We want to make sure that all necessary work is completed carefully before Mein Schiff 3 resumes cruise operations,” the statement reads.
The operator said that the ship is currently planned to be back in regular service on its scheduled itinerary sailing on November 28, 2026, which is a four-night cruise from Bremerhaven to Kiel via Oslo.
While the exact extent of the damage is not clear, German authorities rated it as “serious casualty,” the second most severe category in its five-level classification scale.
