The Royal Princess is currently wrapping up a repositioning voyage ahead of its debut in Southeast Asia.
Having completed a summer deployment in Alaska, the Princess Cruises vessel will embark on a short season in the region following a drydock.
The routine shipyard stay is scheduled for mid-October and will be followed by an 11-night cruise to Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.
Sailing roundtrip from Singapore, the itinerary is highlighted by an overnight visit to Laem Chabang, from which guests can visit Bangkok.
Other ports of call set to be visited include Port Klang for Kuala Lumpur, Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City and Ko Samui.
Upon returning to the Marina Bay Cruise Center, the Royal Princess will embark on its second and final cruise from Singapore: a repositioning voyage to Australia.
Sailing to Sydney starting in early November, the 15-night cruise will feature visits to destinations in Indonesia and Australia.
The Royal Princess embarked on a repositioning voyage to Asia in late November, sailing from Seattle to Tokyo.
The 14-night cruise included visits to destinations in Alaska and Japan before arriving in Tokyo earlier this month.
Upon arriving in the region, the 2013-built ship embarked on a second repositioning cruise, this time sailing from Tokyo to Singapore.
In addition to other Japanese ports, the 12-night itinerary features visits to Taiwan, Hong Kong and Vietnam.
Passengers were also able to book the two-part repositioning voyage as a single cruise, spending 26 nights onboard and sailing between Seattle and Singapore.
As previously reported by Cruise Industry News, the Royal Princess’s debut in Southeast Asia is part of an expanded season in the region, which also includes the Diamond Princess and the Sapphire Princess.
The two sister ships will sail from Singapore during most of the season, offering itineraries to Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and more.
