The itinerary of the Carnival Panorama’s current cruise was adjusted for a second time due to a series of hurricanes in the Pacific.
After sailing from Long Beach on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, the Carnival Cruise Line vessel is currently offering an eight-night cruise to the Mexican Riviera.
As previously reported by Cruise Industry News, the Carnival Cruise Line vessel initially had to cancel visits to two of its planned destinations due to the impact of Hurricane Polo.
More recently, Hurricane Rachel led to further itinerary changes, with most of the scheduled port visits now cancelled.
According to guest reports, the cruise will feature a second visit to Ensenada before returning to Long Beach as scheduled on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2026.
Carnival had previously cancelled visits to Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlán, replacing them with a visit to Ensenada, which took place on Monday, Sept. 28, 2026.
While planned calls to La Paz and Mazatlán were initially kept in the itinerary, they were later cancelled due to the second hurricane.
According to a message shared with guests onboard via the vessel’s public address system, the new visit to Ensenada was scheduled for Thursday.
“We are now planning to return to Ensenada on Thursday for a second visit, so you can have additional time ashore,” an officer said.
“We do understand that everyone was looking forward to visiting the ports of call that we had on our original itinerary and we truly wish circumstances were different,” he continued in a video shared on social media.
“After carefully considering every available alternative, this is the safest option,” the officer added, noting that Carnival is offering guests a $300 onboard credit per stateroom as a gesture of appreciation for guests’ patience and understanding.
“We thank you for understanding as we navigate this together … the Panorama team is fully committed to your safety and we’ll do everything we can to make the rest of this voyage comfortable and enjoyable,” the message added.
