Carnival Cruise Line has revised the itinerary of the next cruise aboard the Carnival Panorama due to Hurricane Polo.

The 4,000-passenger ship is sailing from Long Beach today, September 26, 2026, for an eight-night cruise to the Mexican Riviera.

According to a statement sent to booked guests, two of the planned destinations for the itinerary had to be cancelled due to the storm.

“With support from our Fleet Operations Center, we are closely monitoring Hurricane Polo in the Eastern Pacific,” Carnival Cruise Line said.

“Given the current forecasts, it is necessary to partially modify our itinerary to remain a safe distance from the storm,” the company continued.

“Regrettably, we will not be able to keep our planned visits to Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlán,” Carnival added.

Instead, the Carnival Panorama will add a new visit to Ensenada before heading south to La Paz and Cabo San Lucas as originally scheduled.

“Because forecasts can change, we will continue to monitor the storm along the way and make further changes if necessary,” the company explained.

According to the statement, shore excursions purchased through Carnival for the cancelled destinations will be cancelled and fully refunded.

“It’s always our goal to deliver our originally planned itinerary, and we are sorry that the weather is not cooperating with our plan,” the company stated.

“We are confident that you’ll agree that it is better for us to prioritize safety,” Carnival added.

In related news, the Navigator of the Seas also adjusted its itineraries on the West Coast due to Hurricane Polo.

The Royal Caribbean ship is currently sailing a revised cruise in the region, which departed from Long Beach on September 25, 2026.

Planned visits to Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada had to be cancelled, while a new stop in Puerto Vallarta was added to the itinerary.
