Norwegian Cruise Line is now offering Canada and New England cruises from its new homeport in Philadelphia.

After completing a series of seven-night cruises to Bermuda, the Norwegian Jewel kicked off its fall deployment in the region earlier this month.

The short fall foliage season includes 10- and 11-night cruises sailing between Philadelphia and Quebec City.

The open-jaw itineraries are highlighted by visits to destinations in Canada, Maine and Massachusetts, including Charlottetown, Sydney, Halifax, Bar Harbor and Boston.

Set to be offered through early October, the cruises also include calls to Portland, Saint John and Saguenay.

Norwegian Cruise Line marked the return of cruising to Philadelphia in April 2026, with the Norwegian Jewel becoming the first ship to sail from the port in over a decade.

Through early September, the vessel offered weeklong cruises to Bermuda that featured multiple days docked at the Royal Naval Dockyard.

With construction of the new PhilaPort Cruise Terminal delayed, passenger check-in was initially carried out at a nearby hotel.

As previously reported by Cruise Industry News, the cruise terminal only welcomed its first guests in early August.

The new facility is located on a 16-acre site adjacent to Philadelphia International Airport and, in addition to homeporting operations, is scheduled to welcome a transit call from Hapag-Lloyd in 2028.

With the Norwegian Jewel repositioning to PortMiami later this year, Philadelphia will welcome the Norwegian Pearl for year-round service starting in 2026-27.

The vessel will offer five- to 11-night cruises to destinations in the Caribbean, Bermuda, Canada and New England.

According to the company’s recently announced deployment plans, the vessel will be replaced by the Norwegian Gem starting in April 2028.

Making its debut in Philadelphia, the ship is scheduled to offer weeklong cruises to Bermuda that also feature visits to Virginia.
