Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve will begin welcoming double calls in late 2027, according to MSC Cruises’ published deployment plans.

Currently undergoing an expansion project, the private island destination in the Bahamas is set to gain new features, in addition to a second berth for cruise ships.

While additional details of the expanded pier are still to be confirmed by MSC Cruises, the destination is expected to welcome two ships simultaneously for the first time on Nov. 16, 2027.

According to the company’s deployment plans, the MSC Seaside and the MSC Grandiosa will visit Ocean Cay together.

The vessels will arrive at the private destination for an overnight call as part of cruises departing from Miami and Port Canaveral, respectively.

Both ships will spend two days in Ocean Cay during four-night cruises to the Bahamas that also feature visits to Nassau.

Fifteen additional double visits to the destination are scheduled through the end of 2027, with calls from MSC and Explora Journeys vessels.

On Dec. 19, 2027, Ocean Cay is set to welcome two of the largest vessels in MSC’s fleet at the same time: the MSC World America and the MSC World Atlantic.

The 205,700-ton sister ships will bring more than 11,000 passengers and nearly 4,500 crew members to the island.

In addition to gaining a second berth, Ocean Cay will gain a series of new features in 2027, including additional dining venues, expanded relaxation areas, new beach concepts for families and adults.

In 2028, the destination will also welcome Sandy Cay, an adjacent island that will act as a complement to Ocean Cay.
