Ferry operator Seajets still has three cruise vessels laid up in Greece, having acquired a series of cruise ships during the pandemic.

The company’s fleet includes the former Majesty of the Seas, which was bought from Royal Caribbean in early 2021.

Renamed the Majesty of the Oceans, the 1991-built vessel spent most of the past six years anchored at Elefsis Bay near Athens.

The Majesty is the last existing vessel in Royal Caribbean’s Sovereign class, with its two sister ships beached for to be scrapped in 2020..

Built at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard, the 73,941-ton ship is currently the largest in Seajets’ fleet, with capacity for 2,354 passengers.

The Greek ferry operator also owns the former Oceana, which was first introduced by Princess Cruises as the Ocean Princess.

Built at the Fincantieri shipyard, the 1999-built ship is currently docked at the Port of Astakos in Western Greece.

Last in service for P&O Cruises, the 2,000-guest vessel was acquired by Seajets in July 2020 before being renamed the Queen of the Oceans.

The former Veendam is also part of Seajets’ fleet, after biding farewell to Holland America Line in July 2020.

Now named the Aegean Majesty, the 1996-built ship is currently laid up at the Greek port of Aigio in the Gulf of Corinth.

Built at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, the 1,350-passenger ship is part of a series of four ships known as the Statendam class.

Taking advantage of a weak secondhand market, Seajets acquired eight cruise ships between 2020 and 2023, including the former Costa Magica, which was sold in late 2025 to Tianjin Oriental International Cruise Line.

As part of its flipping strategy, Seajets sold two vessels, the Magellan and the Columbus, to scrapyards in Asia.

The company also sold the former Maasdam to Compagnie Française de Croisières and the former Pacific Aria to Celestyal Cruises.
