Royal Caribbean announced a significant expansion of its operations in Australia and Asia with the redeployment of three ships.

According to a press release, the company is adding new sailings from Sydney, Brisbane, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan.

Originally scheduled to sail from Los Angeles during the season, the Ovation of the Seas will reposition to Australia in 2027-28 for cruises out of Brisbane.

The vessel will join the Anthem of the Seas, which is scheduled to sail from Sydney, and the Voyager of the Seas, which will now offer new itineraries.

Instead of sailing exclusively from Brisbane as initially planned, the original Voyager-class ship will offer itineraries from both Australian homeports before repositioning to Asia in early 2028.

From January to April 2028, the Voyager will offer new itineraries from Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo visiting destinations in Southeast Asia and the Far East.

Royal Caribbean said that the cruises will sail to Japan, Vietnam and Taiwan, including Ishigaki, Okinawa, Taipei, Danang and more.

The deployment will be highlighted by a special sailing from Hong Kong to ring in the Chinese New Year, as well as a series of cruises in Japan coinciding with the country’s cherry blossom season.

To further expand its presence in Asia, Royal Caribbean is also redeploying the Navigator of the Seas from the West Coast to Singapore.

The Voyager-class ship is now scheduled to sail year-round from the Marina Bay Cruise Centre starting in October 2026.

Following its previously announced winter season in the region, the ship will offer additional two- to five-night itineraries in Southeast Asia during the summer of 2027.

After departing from Singapore, the cruises will visit destinations in Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand and more.

According to Royal Caribbean, bookings for the new sailings will open in phases, with cruises onboard the Navigator and the Ovation available from August 18, 2026. Voyager’s new itineraries are set to open for reservation on August 25, 2026.
