In a recent social media update, Carnival Cruise Line’s Brand Ambassador John Heald said the company will not remove elegant nights from its onboard programming.
He said that, while some short cruises might have different themed evenings, elegant nights “are not going anywhere.”
“On a few ships with shorter itineraries, guests will instead have a white night with an evening program similar to elegant night,” he explained.
Heald added that the main difference between the two themed nights is that guests on white nights are encouraged to wear white and join in the theme if they wish.
“Later that evening, the celebration continues with our White Hot Deck Party,” he added, noting that guests on these sailings will be notified by email before their cruises.
Carnival will also continue to serve lobster in the main dining rooms on cruises of six days or longer, Heald noted.
He said the dish is available on all these sailings, except for cruises in Alaska, Europe and Australia, where sourcing has been an issue.
Heald added that the updates address rumors recently spread on cruise pages and forums, denying that any changes are coming to the company’s current product.
In related news, the Brand Ambassador completed his 39th year with Carnival earlier this year, having first joined the company as a bar waiter in the late 1980s.
A celebratory event was held onboard the Carnival Vista to mark the occasion, with the vessel’s captain, chief engineer, hotel director and other senior officers presenting him with a commemorative plaque.
Heald will also be joined by Carnival President Christine Duffy onboard the Carnival Magic for a special sailing in early 2027.
Sailing from PortMiami in February, the six-night voyage will be the company’s first President’s Cruise.
