Corazul Cruceros may start service in Brazil earlier than initially scheduled, kicking off its maiden season as early as mid-September.

Having cancelled its summer deployment in the Mediterranean, the company is currently poised to welcome its first guests in Brazil in early November.

R11 Travel, the startup’s commercial partner in Brazil, confirmed that the cruise line is nowevaluating an early start in the country.

“Corazul is indeed studying the possibility of bringing the season forward, but nothing has been confirmed,” a representative of the travel operator told Cruise Industry News.

While behind-the-scenes planning may be underway, a decision regarding a potentially revised timeline is not expected before the first half of August, R11 Travel added.

Local sources recently noted that Corazul scheduled 20 additional calls to the Port of Santos for the Buenavista, with calls starting on September 14, 2026.

“The pre-bookings at the port are part of this study and can be changed if necessary,” the operator stated.

“Various factors could impact the effective start date of operations, considering it is the ship’s debut.”

Corazul plans to operate the Piano Land, which is anchored off Hong Kong after ending its operations in the Far East in late May. The ship is scheduled to drydock in Asia as soon as next week.

Originally built for P&O Cruises, the 1,806-passenger ship spent the past eight years sailing in China and Asia for Astro Ocean Cruises.

Revealed earlier this year, Corazul aims to fill a gap in the market by offering a Latin-inspired product for Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking markets.

The company initially planned to operate its maiden season in the Mediterranean, but the schedule was later cancelled.

At the time, the company said that the decision followed a review of global market trends and distribution data that pointed to South America as the stronger region for its launch.

Initial plans called for the Buenavista to welcome its first guests in Spain in early July 2026 for a series of itineraries in Southern Europe.

The 1995-built vessel would then operate a fall season in the Caribbean before repositioning to Brazil for the 2026-27 winter season.
