Viking’s Hagen Cheers Norway into FIFA World Cup Quarterfinals

Hagen Norway Brazil match

Viking’s Executive Chairman Torstein Hagen supported the Norwegian national team in making history as it advanced to the quarterfinals of the FIFA World Cup for the first time ever by beating Brazil 2-1.

Throughout the day, Hagen spent time with two soccer legends: former Norwegian soccer player and Erling Haaland’s father Alf-Inge “Alfie” Haaland and Brazil’s Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima.

Sissel Kyrkjebø, godmother of the Viking Jupiter and one of the world’s leading crossover sopranos, was also there with Hagen, according to a social media update.

Viking, which is the official partner of the Norwegian Football Federation, has supported the national team throughout its FIFA World Cup run, with Hagen joining the Viking Row chant onboard the Viking Vela.

Norway will now face England in the quarterfinals scheduled for Saturday, July 11, in Miami Gardens, Florida.
