Royal Caribbean is adjusting the itinerary of the next cruise onboard the Navigator of the Seas due to a tropical storm.

Operating a summer season on the West Coast, the Voyager-class vessel is scheduled to welcome guests for a seven-night cruise on July 24, 2026.

Sailing roundtrip from Los Angeles, the original itinerary featured visits to three destinations in Mexico: Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas and Mazatlán.

According to Royal Caribbean’s statement, the schedule had to be modified to avoid adverse weather conditions in the region.

“Due to tropical storm conditions and rough seas, we have adjusted our itinerary to provide a smoother and more enjoyable sailing experience,” the company said.

Royal Caribbean noted that the cruise will now feature an extra day at sea while dropping its originally planned visit to Ensenada.

The scheduled visits to Cabo San Lucas and Mazatlán will take place but on different days and with different port times.

“We’re terribly sorry for the last-minute change caused by the weather – your safety is our top priority. Please know that being onboard is one of the safest places because our ship can quickly move out of the way of any inclement weather,” the company added.

According to the statement, shore excursions teams will automatically reschedule any pre-paid Royal Caribbean shore excursions booked for Cabo San Lucas and Mazatlán.

Tours that cannot be rescheduled, as well as excursions for Ensenada, will be cancelled and automatically refunded to the guests’ onboard accounts as onboard credits.

Royal Caribbean explained that these credits can be used anywhere onboard and, if unused, will be refunded to passengers’ credit cards at the end of the cruise.

The Navigator of the Seas is scheduled to return to Los Angeles on July 31, 2026, for its next cruise as planned.
