Regent Seven Seas Cruises will upgrade select accommodations aboard its Explorer Class ships following planned drydocks in 2027 and 2028.

In a press release, the brand announced larger Veranda Suites, a new Horizon Penthouse Suite category, three additional Distinctive Suites on each ship and reduced capacity.

The Seven Seas Splendor, Explorer and Grandeur are set to emerge from their drydocks scheduled in November 2027, April 2028 and October 2028, respectively, with a maximum of 344 suites, down from previous 373.

Veranda Suites will be expanded into the largest entry-level suites in the ultra-luxury cruise industry, alongside the Deluxe Veranda Suites aboard Prestige Class ships.

Every redesigned Veranda Suite will feature amenities including walk-in closets, double vanities and spacious balconies, measuring between 415 and 464 sq ft, compared to the previous 307 sq ft.

“These enhancements reflect our commitment to continually raising the standard in ultra-luxury travel. By reducing suite inventory, expanding accommodations and introducing new suite categories, we are creating an even more spacious experience at sea while strengthening the exceptional service that defines Regent.”

The new Horizon Penthouse Suites, debuting on the Seven Seas Prestige in December 2026, will also be incorporated into the Explorer Class collection of spacious suites. 

Ranging from 616 to 722 sq ft, the suites will feature oversized balconies, blending outdoor and indoor spaces.  

Completing these accommodation upgrades, three additional Distinctive Suites measuring from 821 to 918 sq ft will be added to each ship, according to the press release. 

They will feature what the cruise line describes as a spacious bedroom with a king-size Elite Slumber Bed, a spacious sitting and dining area, one-and-a-half marble-and-stone-appointed bathrooms and a large private balcony.  

Named Explorer Suite, Splendor Suite and Grandeur Suite, respectively, on each ship, they will come with amenities such as fresh orchid arrangements, cashmere blankets, an in-suite caviar service, a selection of pillow styles and the services of a personal butler.
