Cruise Saudi is marking five years since it was established in 2021. 

The company handles the full onshore and offshore value chain for the country’s cruise industry, from planning, developing and operating cruise berths and terminals, to curating destination experiences, coordinating shore excursions and supporting vessel operations. 

Since its launch, it has activated five cruise ports and gateways across the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf, according to a company statement. 

“In our five-year journey, Cruise Saudi has moved from ambition to delivery — transforming ports into gateways and cruise calls into meaningful destination experiences” said Taha Nazer, acting chief executive officer of Cruise Saudi. 

“Our next chapter is about elevating quality even further: curating journeys that reflect Saudi Arabia’s culture, support local communities, and set new benchmarks for wellbeing and innovation at sea.” 

A defining milestone in its journey was the launch of Aroya Cruises as the first Arabian cruise line in 2024, embarking on its maiden voyage on Dec. 16, 2024. 

The company is also advancing the Aman at Sea project, whose first cruise ship, the Amangati, is scheduled to sail its maiden season in 2027. 

Looking ahead, Cruise Saudi said it is focused on creating a globally competitive cruise ecosystem as a catalyst for tourism diversification and sustainable development. 

It will continue to expand its footprint through new cruise gateways and strategic partnerships, unlocking new destinations and experiences across the Red Sea and Arabian Gulf.
